This year has been a very long stressful one: it went from January, February, swoosh, October, November.
And to be sincere, we spent so much time with our cats this year than we’ve done with any other person on our holiday shopping list!
If you ask me, I think they deserve a couple of special items for being such good companions. So why not place some under the tree this season?
From paw balms to fluffy blankets, catnips, and organic shampoos, we have rounded up the best Xmas gifts for cats and cat owners. Check them out and start shopping now because the clock is ticking and you want to avoid the mad rush this year.
1. A cat throne.
Right off the bat, you want to recognize your cat for what she really is – a Queen. Most people mistake this for a cat window seat or perch, if that’s you take correction now. Her Majesty won’t be so forgiving next time.
2. Paw Balm.
I know, a good catwalk is mesmerizing and tough to ignore. But, it isn’t easy walking bare feet all day. Oatmeal Paw Butter creates an invisible stiletto around your cat’s paw to protect her paw pad and make her gait much more seductive. This is without a doubt, the best Xmas gift for cats that love walking outdoors.
3. A cozy cat cave.
Cats spend most of their day sleeping. Presenting your cat with a cozy cat cave where she can curl up and dream of butterflies will not go unnoticed. Plus, this Twin Critter KittiKubbi is warm, soft, and dark inside and it comes in several fun colors that will match or make your décor pop.
4. A scratching post to take some for the team.
Cats have a unique way of making their displeasure known: when you don’t allow them into your room at night, they scratch your door; when they can’t get to the pigeon outside the window, they scratch your couch; when they want you to change the station… you get the point.
5. Bissell Multi-Purpose Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
What ugly stain did your cat leave on your couch, carpet, or car seat that you need to explain again and again or cover up? A fast-acting upholstery cleaner like Bissell Multi-purpose Cleaner will get rid of them with little effort.
6. Calming cat bed.
There are two things that help a cat remain calm, sleep and meditation – ‘huh?’ what do you think they stare out the window for?
With the cat throne above, the meditation part is covered. A calming cat bed like the Pet Craft Round Memory Foam Bed gives your cat a place to rest her head and protect her treasured ‘inner peace’ during firework festivals, thunderstorms, and from loud, distracting noises.
The best part? It is machine washable and you can turn it inside out.
7. Premium Pet Dental Care.
Next year will be filled with big smiles (you first read it here).
Your cat can start practicing and preparing her smile with a premium dental tool! All you need to do is spray some on her teeth, done!
8. Hartz Just for Cats Cat Toy.
You have a lot planned for this period and you simply want them to go as planned. However, you will get little done, especially around the house, if your cat is stalking you from room to room or rubbing her body on your leg everywhere you turn. Hartz Just for Cats Cat Toy is the perfect distraction and Xmas toy gift for a bored cat.
9. Quality cat food
“You are what you eat” also applies to your cat.
With every can of cornmeal, meat by-products, and other heavily processed junk food that your cat finishes, she is slowly becoming those things.
Sharing a bite or two of your holiday season turkey or ham is fine, but you need to start investing in quality cat food. I recommend Purina, Sheba, or IAMS Pro Cat Food. Though they are good, quality cat foods, you still need to properly transition your cat to the new food brand.
10. Cute cat bowl set.
Seeing as we just finished talking about quality cat food, how about an elevated feeding set for your cat? Extending her neck each time to reach the kibbles at the bottom of the plate can be tiring. That’s why you need an elevated food bowl like the UPSKY Double Cat Bowl that also helps prevent food spills all over the place.
11. Reflective Collar.
Do you have an indoor-outdoor cat that loves to roam, whether it is sunny or snowing, doesn’t matter to her? Then this collar will help keep her safe. It reflects light, which will make it easier for oncoming cars to spot her in time and for you to find her when she fails to come home.
12. Heated Pet Bed.
It’s Winter. You will wear your favorite sweatshirt to keep you warm. This heated Pet Bed with automatic power off and timer is a gift to keep your cat warm on those nights when the chills bite a little too hard.
13. Legit catnip treat.
Need to spice up your cat’s day or put her in the right mood? Then offer her a catnip treat. It is exhilarating in a way only cats understand. Getting the TEMPTATIONS MixUps Crunchy and Soft Cat Treats for your cat will earn you lots of kitty points – redeemable at any kitty bank.
14. Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil.
With this, you’ll never have to worry about getting your cat to eat more because she is going to have a healthy appetite. Just squirt some on your cat’s meal, mix, and warm it before serving to keep your cat healthy all year long!
“Meeeeow,” Your cat says a big “Thank you!”
15. DarkPets Hair deShedding Tool for Cats.
Does your cat love to groom herself? That’s a very cat-thing to do. However, obsessive grooming can lead to another gross problem – regurgitated hairballs. To save yourself this problem and the discomfort it causes for your cat, a deShedding tool is a must-have this Xmas. Plus, it gives you ample opportunity to bond with your cat.
16. IRIS Top Entry Cat Litter Box
Is your cat still using the old, cramped litter box she used as a kitten? Then it is time for something new. The IRIS Top Entry Cat Litter Box is designed to give your cat much needed privacy while she handles her business as well as prevent litter tracking or pee leakage when she is done.
17. Bubble Bacon Bubble Machine.
Is your cat into chasing bubbles or just watching them float away? Then this Bubble Machine could be the perfect Xmas gift for your cat. It will produce enough bubbles to keep your cat in a trance for as long as you need to finish your recipe.
18. Wipe Your Paws Welcome Mat.
Just like a ‘baby in the car’ sign, this welcome mat lets visitors know that you are proud of your cat.
Your cat will love it, you will love it, and so will your guests!
19. Feliway Cat Diffuser.
Parenting a cat is not filled with sunshine and rainbows. Cats have their scared, anxious, mad, happy, and sad days. A Feliway Cat Diffuser will help you manage your cat when she suddenly turns aggressive, is scared of visiting the vet or greeting visitors, etc.
It’s a gift for both of you.
20. Pusheen cat blanket.
Everyone loves a comfy blanket, especially during winter. Keep your cat warm and cozy all day with a blanket that’s specially made for cat lovers and cats.
Before we get to the last item on the list, I have a small request.
21. For the best cat parent ever!
Your cat thinks you’re awesome! To show how much she appreciates having you in her life, she is offering a chance to get something for yourself for being such an amazing cat parent.
So, what are you getting for yourself and your cat this Xmas?
